We have a staff that is experienced, takes pride in their work and understands the process of construction from the start of each job to its completion. We are experienced in; foundations, custom homes, extensions, renovations, dormers, basement renovations, masonry and finish carpentry. We are up to date on the latest advancements and products in the construction industry and have extensive relationships with building suppliers through Long Island and New York City.

Do you work with experienced electricians, plumbers and air conditioning/heating sub-contractors or will I have to supply my own?

We work very closely with only experienced, licensed and insured electricians, plumbers and air conditioning/heating contractors. If you prefer to supply your own electrician, plumber or air conditioning contractor that is not a problem, we are here to work with and for you.

How will we know if we will need an architect?

Many projects require an architect. Upon our first meeting we will discuss what your vision consists of and if an architect will be needed.

Can you recommend an architect if needed?

Absolutely! We can recommend a number of architects for you so you can find the right person for your vision.

Are you licensed and insured?

We are licensed and insured with both general liability and workman's compensation in Nassau County, Suffolk County and all 5 Boroughs of New York.

Do you supply a detailed contract?

Mainland will supply you with a detailed contract breaking down work floor by floor, room by room. Mainland will also include a fair payment schedule based on current work in progress.

What is your work guarantee?

Mainland offers a one year warranty on all labor and materials.

Will the contract include allowances for cabinets, counter tops, tile, appliances and accessories?

No, Mainland will not include allowances for cabinets, counter tops, tile, appliances or accessories. However, at your request, we can recommend reputable and reliable local businesses to assist you in choosing the right design for you.

Will I have a project manager for my job?

Yes, for each job there is an experienced project manager on site. You can also contact our office by phone, fax or e-mail with any questions

Are your employees experienced?

Yes, they are experienced in all aspects of the construction industry. Each employee has his own special talent from roofing to siding to finish work. Mainland employees are mature, trustworthy and sensitive to your needs.

What are your work hours?

Our crews work Monday thru Friday from 8 am until 4:30 pm. They may remain on the jobsite longer pending the completion of a particular phase of the project. Our crews may also work weekends pending your specific Town restrictions and prior homeowner agreements

Do you set a completion date on your projects?

Through our years of experience, Mainland knows how long a job should take. We set completion dates on our jobs allowing our home owners to plan their schedules accordingly. Our completion dates are guaranteed pending the timeliness of home owner supplied materials to the work site.

Mainland can not predict certain weather events that may arise and affect our completion dates.

How do you handle the removal of debris from the job site?

We will cart away all demolition and debris from the job site with either our own dumpster equipment or equipment brought in from a reputable carting company that we work very closely with. All work sites are kept in a safe and clean manner.

During demolition and construction, will I have to move out?

Every project is different and depending on the size of your project we may suggest that you move out. We will inform you well ahead of time if temporary living arrangements will be necessary.
